Basically, Adrienne and Jordin Sparks, who was guest co-hosting, agreed that they prefer moving in silence. All that means is they keep their plans to themselves until they come to fruition, and if they don\u2019t come to fruition they don\u2019t mention them at all. However, they all acknowledged that the problem with that is if things don\u2019t pan out as you intended, you then have to go back and explain what went wrong,. And that can be, as Adrienne put it, \u201cthe worst.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No doubt there\u2019s humiliation in saying you\u2019re going to make something happen, and then you don\u2019t, as if the personal disappointment you have for yourself isn\u2019t bad enough, now you gotta throw embarrassment on top of that. Now you got people are judging you, making fun of you. That\u2019s the real part people want to spare themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I understand moving in silence, after all, you don\u2019t know my name\u2026well, some of you do, but that\u2019s not the point. The point is, I don\u2019t have my name splayed all over this blog, because to some extent, I want to move in silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, I understand the value in being open, so I want to do that too. Two of my favorite entrepreneurial stories are those of Sara Blakely, creator of Spanx, and Tyler Perry creator of\u2026well, all things Tyler Perry. What I love about their stories is how hard they tried, how much they failed but kept going and were eventually able to bounce back to actualize dream careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in both cases, they tell their stories after they made it. Not that that\u2019s not a great perspective. They at least have their accomplishments to back up their dreams. There\u2019s no guessing game. But I\u2019ve always thought, wouldn\u2019t it be great if we could\u2019ve met them along the way? Like when Sara was suffering her 10<sup>th<\/sup> rejection, or when Tyler put all his money into his first play that nobody showed up to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well that\u2019s what I want to give you here. You\u2019re meeting me while I\u2019m on my way. I\u2019m taking you along for the ride as I pursue my dreams. And not even gonna lie, if I don\u2019t make it, that is the worse. It\u2019s embarrassing and humbling as fuck. But another thing I\u2019m discovering (this is the month of discovery \u2018round these parts) if that does happen, I can take it. I already know what that feels like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m also discovering that if I\u2019m going to pursue my dreams I have to plan, and not just plan, but plan well. And to do that, I need to take a break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason my posts come \u201csometime before midnight\u201d is because I am a\u2026well, let me not say that\u2026I have been a procrastinator extraordinaire. Every week, most Wednesday nights I\u2019m writing at the last-minute to complete a post. It\u2019s so last-minute, that a few times I\u2019ve been late. But I want to do better, make it a little less stressful\u2026and hell, not have to stress about what I\u2019m going to post every week because I\u2019ve planned ahead and can just write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So like I said, I\u2019m taking a break.
