I have a love hate relationship with people\u2019s highlight reels on social media. For the most part, it\u2019s more love than hate. I actually get inspired by them. They show me things I would have never known like places I\u2019d like to travel, food I\u2019d like to try, furniture I\u2019d like to buy. But I\u2019m mostly inspired by others\u2019 success in their careers, even if they\u2019re in a field not my own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s most of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But every now and then I get sick of people making it seem like their life is so perfect even though I know it ain\u2019t. So if you\u2019re tired of people running around, dancing in they videos sailing on the high seas, celebrating they new six-figure jobs and such, come on over to this post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I present to you my goals for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before I begin, I first must say you might recognize these goals and if you do, thank you, that means you\u2019ve been reading. They\u2019re the same ones I set last year and didn\u2019t get to. So without further ado, and in random order, here we go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was a 2022 goal I didn\u2019t come close to completing. But before I get to hard on myself, I must say, I\u2019m proud of myself for starting. I know some people don\u2019t give you credit for starting, but starting is the hard part too. So um, I\u2019ma give myself credit \u2013 tot! tot! Especially since in this case, I didn\u2019t simply have to start, I had to first excavate my short story from and archaic computer that broke down, and it actually broken down years ago \u2013 2011 to be exact. But I did some online reach and watched some YouTube videos and found out how to retrieve the information from the hard drive. Geek Squad what? Geek Squad who? Geek Squad me, not you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyway, enough of that foolishness. A win is a win, and I\u2019m learning to take mine anyway I can. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also have two movie scripts that I\u2019m working on. Nobody has asked me to write a movie script. But I have stories in me that I need to tell and so I let them out\u2026well, you know. I just want what I would want to see, and what I hope to one day see. So finishing that up this year is important to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So we got the short story and we got the movie scripts, this brings me to this here website. Ya girl needs to be postin\u2019 more often. Consistency is key, and this year, this 2023, I\u2019m trying to be consistent. Expect another post from me real soon, like Sunday soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not sure if I mentioned this previously, because I\u2019m trying to stay away from talking about weight on this site, but ya girl just might join a gym. That\u2019s it! That\u2019s all you\u2019re getting for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another one is going out of the country. I haven\u2019t been in a really long time \u2013 like almost 10 years I believe. I need to become a jetsetter this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, I have a passion for fashion. I really want to step up my wardrobe this year. Perhaps I can curate a capsule wardrobe. I have a lot of rags in my closet, you know, shit you wear because it\u2019s comfy and it\u2019s there, but that you don\u2019t really love. I want a closet full of pieces that I really love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So that\u2019s it\u2026well, that\u2019s not it, but that\u2019s all I\u2019m going to share. Give some to you, keep some for myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
