Like my career, my weight has been a perpetual struggle. And let me tell you ladies, they ain’t kidding when they say it’s harder to come off as you get older. Actually, I’ve found that I lose weight pretty easily if I really cut back, but the problem with that is once I eat regular again the pounds come back like four at a time – no lie or exaggeration. I lost like 10 pounds before I went to the Bahamas, came back and noticed I put those 10 pounds right back on. I wasn’t even gone a full week.
Now I will admit, I ate a lot of bad food when I was over there. I literally don’t think I had any vegetables and I had at least one frozen alcoholic beverage every day I was there, sometimes two – I hear that’s not good for the waistline. But I was also walking everyday – that Baha Mar is big as fuck – and jumping around in the pool. I was burning calories, but I guess it wasn’t good enough. Now I’m back to my heaviest weight – my height of the pandemic weight, so in addition to getting my career together, trying to be more social, I need to also focus on my weight, because health is wealth.
I think I will sleep better, I won’t be as tired all the time, and yeah, there are tons of benefits to losing weight. But this has been a forever struggle for me, and ever since I breach the 200s, I haven’t been able to get back out, except for one time over 20 years ago when I was a senior in college. Regardless, I still think I can do it, it’s just going to take a lot of work.
I already ordered a new Nutribullet. Actually previously I had a ninja, but I’m switching to the bullet this time, because from the YouTube reviews I’ve seen, it looks like it breaks down the food better. Once it arrives, I’m going to attempt a seven day juice fast. I need to detox—get this shit out of me, literally and figuratively, and then go from there. And also exercise. I do it every now and then, but I haven’t exercised in about two weeks.
So yeah, these are the things that I need to do. These are the things that I’m working on at the end of this year. I need to:
Write
Eat Right
Exercise
Budget
Socialize.
And most important of all put God first.
