It’s Wednesday and that mean it’s time for another one of my roundups. Once again, there is no theme, but I think I’m going to start putting certain categories of posts like food, in the news, something funny, something inspirational — you know, that sort of thing…something for me to think about going forward. But anyway, here are 5 Instagram posts that caught my eye since last Wednesday.
Enjoy…
I’m starting with food today, because I just couldn’t resist this.
Speaking of food…I don’t have cable anymore. Haven’t had it since the pandemic when they were giving all those free channels. But even back then, I noticed the change in Food Network that Valerie Bertinelli is talking about, not to mention all the folks in the comments are talking about for that matter. The Food Network has become all Guy Fieri (Friday nights, triple D on repeat) and all competition shows with people making dishes with ingredients you can’t buy at most stores. Back in the day, I remember coming home after work and watching shows like The Barefoot Contessa or The Neeley’s, then later trying to recreate those meals–sometimes with some success. Oh well, as someone mentioned in the comments, MTV used to play music videos.
Have I told you how much I love the Olympics? I’ve been watching it faithfully since 1992 when they were in Spain, and I can tell you every country and city they’ve been in since then. One of my dream jobs would be to do reporting at the Olympics. Excited for it to come back to LA in 2028! In the meantime Paris, call me.
I can’t wait for this movie to come out. The only way to see it is in a crowded theater.
Sometimes I need reminding too, God is not a genie. He’s not Santa Claus. He’s building my character.
All right, all right, I know I said 5, but here’s a bonus post…
…Since we talking about God and stuff, I just couldn’t resist. Somebody please bring back singing like this in the church. I mean God bless the singers of the Hillsong songs and the Elevation Worship type songs, but this right here? Chile, please.
Welp that’ll do it for this week.
Until next time…
