Wednesday Roundup: Random Yet Specific

It’s Wednesday, that means it’s time for another one of my roundups where I highlight 5 posts from social media (and when I say social media I mean Instagram, because that’s primarily the social medium I visit). As of late,…

My Self-Publishing Journey: I’ve Always Wanted The Choice

There was a time when all I wanted was to have a choice. I even prayed for situations where options would be narrowed down by me. But for a long time that just wasn’t the case…at least not in the…

Wednesday Roundup

Lately I’ve been trying to come up with themes for my Wednesday Roundup posts, but today there is no theme. Surprisingly, as I was going through my saved Instagram posts, I discovered that there weren’t that many. So maybe that…

Wednesday Roundup: Quiet Please

Once again it’s on because it’s Wednesday (actually Thursday now, because I ran late) and that means it’s time for my roundup where I highlight 5 posts from social media that caught my eye! Lately, I’ve been trying to come…

I’m Sorry to Say…

I have nothing to say this Sunday. Well, actually that’s not true, I’m just not in the mood. I’m just tired I guess. A busy mind grows weary…and I have a lot on my mind. So anyway, perhaps I will…

Hello! Welcome to Shirscribe! I know my face doesn't look so welcoming in this photo, it's just that I did those braids myself and I actually like this pic. But I am really happy you're here, so come on in, have a look around, read a post or 50, comment if you'd like and come back soon!

Introducing My Writing Practice!

You know, writing rarely comes easy for me. Most of the time I mull over it forever, then edit it and edit it,  only for it to still be filled with errors, or just not be quite right.

Part of the problem is I’m reaching for that old unattainable perfection. The other part is I need to read and write more.

So this is me, writing more.

In this series, I’m giving myself two hours to write about a topic of my choice nonstop, and 30 minutes to edit it before I post it here, just as it is.  The great sentences and the incoherent ones with spelling and grammatical errors too.  I’m just going to write and see what it will be.

I’ll be posting these writing practices once a week. I’m not sure which day, and maybe no particular day, just one time a week, with no end date as of now.

I can be so insecure about my writing, so I think this will be helpful.

Here’s to writing and getting better at it!

Thanks for reading!

Mood…

Lord, let me be that river.
