It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for my roundup, where I collection 5 posts that I found interesting from social media — and by social media I mean Instagram — to share with you. Though this week I just have…

My Self-Publishing Journey: Learning to Let Go & Win

When one thinks about being overwhelmed, it’s usually associated with being stressed, anxious, sad, depressed, having a chaotic mind – you know, all the negative things. But how about being overwhelmed with joy…or maybe just relief…or maybe both? This week…

Wednesday Roundup: Someday This Will Not be Filled With Instagram Posts; Today’s Not That Day

It’s Wednesday and that mean it’s time for another one of my roundups. Once again, there is no theme, but I think I’m going to start putting certain categories of posts like food, in the news, something funny, something inspirational…

Phew!

You know, Sundays are my fast-and-pray days now. It used to be Fridays, but I switched it to Sundays a couple years ago just to have more time to handle business during the week. Yet it has been a long…

Wednesday Roundup: No Rhyme Just Reason

It’s Wednesday Roundup time again, and that title just came to me, because there is no theme again today and I like the No Rhyme Just Reason title better than simply saying random, though today’s post is pretty random. But…

Hello! Welcome to Shirscribe! I know my face doesn't look so welcoming in this photo, it's just that I did those braids myself and I actually like this pic. But I am really happy you're here, so come on in, have a look around, read a post or 50, comment if you'd like and come back soon!

Introducing My Writing Practice!

You know, writing rarely comes easy for me. Most of the time I mull over it forever, then edit it and edit it,  only for it to still be filled with errors, or just not be quite right.

Part of the problem is I’m reaching for that old unattainable perfection. The other part is I need to read and write more.

So this is me, writing more.

In this series, I’m giving myself two hours to write about a topic of my choice nonstop, and 30 minutes to edit it before I post it here, just as it is.  The great sentences and the incoherent ones with spelling and grammatical errors too.  I’m just going to write and see what it will be.

I’ll be posting these writing practices once a week. I’m not sure which day, and maybe no particular day, just one time a week, with no end date as of now.

I can be so insecure about my writing, so I think this will be helpful.

Here’s to writing and getting better at it!

Thanks for reading!
